Sundays at 11

Our main weekly meeting is on Sunday morning at 11 o clock. The service is friendly and informal, with groups for children and an emphasis on worshipping God, hearing from Gods word (the Bible) and praying about our needs in our lives, in the church, in the local community or the wider world. At present, on an average Sunday, there are about 50 adults and 25 children.

The Pattern of the Service

The service divides into three sections:

1. We start with a song and a prayer of confession, followed by Family Time, an activity for the children and adults which will introduce the main teaching point of the service.

2. Then we have the teaching time. The children will go out to their groups while the adults stay in the church. We have a time of worship, usually 2 or 3 songs, and a time of saying individual prayers of thanks. This is followed by prayers, the reading and then the sermon. After the sermon we have 10 minutes to reflect and prayerfully respond to the Bible message

3. The children rejoin the adults for family notices and a final song.

Finding out about Christianity

If you want to find out more about what it means to follow Jesus Christ, we regularly run courses. Each course lasts 3 - 4 weeks looking at topics like: - Who is Jesus? - Why did he die? - What does it mean to have a relationship with Him?
